Main Site & Forums Integration

Just so you're aware, I'm finally going to be integrating the main site and forums so they share the same login. Usernames, emails and passwords will all be stored on the main site once the merge is complete, and you'll log in via the main site rather than the forums.

This also means that non-DkR members are no longer able to log into the forums (e.g. alliance members and members who just registered on the forums without applying to DkR). I'll probably need to copy their accounts to the main site at some point, though it's not urgent.

Done! If you notice any issues with it let me know.

Found one potential issue, though not sure if it's actually related. You might experience some intermittent slow loading until it's fixed.

I should really get round to sorting that, although I rarely visit main site!

I expect a lot of people have forgotten their main site password if the two have diverged. Easy to reset: http://www.darkreave.../reset-password

The bug I've found is very weird.. something to do with pages that interact with the forums (e.g. the application form, which creates a forum account after applying).. it'll just decide to take 30+ seconds to load, then other times it won't. Might have to wait til tomorrow. Overall it works pretty well though.

Okay should be all fixed now. So there's only one log in screen on the main site, but you can still click the Sign In link in the top right of the forums. Logging out works similarly. The email/password change link will also take you to the main site.

I have the website management skills of a baldric, and like any good Baldric I have a cunning plan that involves a turnip........
